Well, right now I am sitting in the Panera Bread of Pensacola trying to kill time before I meet some friends later this afternoon to hang out. I took Josh to the airport this morning and did really well till our last good bye and cried a little. But I always do even though this isn't a really long separation haha. I can't wait till he comes back in April! I have already started a countdown :) I plan on keeping myself busy this month with work, rehearsals, and spending time with friends and family.

Happy Valentine's Day!
I feel so blessed to have my Marine home on Valentine's Day. I have so many friends who's significant other is deployed or training. I know my day may come where I am in their place, so I am thankful for my time now. I went to the post office yesterday and hope my valentine swap buddy for the Semper Fi group likes the goodies I mailed her:)
Another recent happiness in my life is my good friend Ashley became officially engaged last night :D! I am so happy and excited for her! She and Clark are a great couple and I wish them all the love and happiness that Josh and I have. She also asked me to be a bridesmaid...I LOVE WEDDINGS! So of course I said yes:) It will be something to keep my mind busy while Josh is gone as well.
He leaves 2 weeks from today blah:P But I won't let that spoil my happy wknd. Tonight we are going to a Fine Arts concert to hear one of the Irish Tenors. I believe it is Anthony Kearns. I love dressing up in formals and going to concerts lol. I am such a girly girl haha. We don't really have any major plans for Valentine's other than tonight and most likely to dinner tomorrow.
Tonight the church's homeschool group is hosting a Father/Daughter Purity banquet which I was able to help decorate a little bit yesterday. Everything was so lovely and all the ladies did a wonderful job. I can't wait to see the pics from that. My sister and Dad are attending.

Let's try this again shall we.......
Hello Everyone!
Soooo it's been quite some time since my last post. Really I had wanted to give up blogging altogether because it wasn't working out as I would like it to. But my older sister Jill kept after me about it lol. I am updating this now because I am very happily married to the love of my life Josh :) Things are never boring but I wouldn't have it any other way. We are currently looking at housing options since our lease here in Mobile runs out in April and would like to move to Daphne because of the central location.
Josh leaves on Feb. 27th which I am very sad about but he will be back less than 2 months! I decided not to get specific on all of the dates yet. Which isn't too long compared to alot of other Marine girls I know. They have been a blessing for support and understanding! I look forward to the Valentine swap we have planned:) I have gotten to know them in support groups on facebook.
We have also been visiting a new church which has gone very well so far. This past Sunday we enjoyed lunch with the associate pastor and his wife. They got married the day before we did this past December so it was fun comparing wedding stories. She had alot more complications in her wedding than mine! lol But we are praying and will see where the Lord will have us attend.
Work at Justice for Girls has been going well and teaching ballet at Encore Dance Studios has been fun too. Josh and I are also participating in the Bayshore Ballet's spring show Coppelia! Hahaha Josh isn't dancing ofcourse but is of great help back stage and anything that needs to be done. I love having him there. Maybe that's why God knew Josh would be a great husband for me! He and I both enjoy performances and the aspects of it together and look forward to it.
Well I will do my best to keep this updated more often :) So bear with me people! lol

AHHHHHHHH!!! Ok I am a little excited;D My wedding rehearsal is tonight and I get to have a mani-pedi today! lol. Almost all of the wedding party is here, a few will arrive at midnight tonight. I hope they don't fall asleep in the wedding! (nah I am sure they will be fine).
Right now I am sitting on the bed in my pjs blogging and wrapping gifts for the wedding party. My sister Scarlett and 3 soon to be nieces are in my living room asleep lol. We stayed up pretty late last night:) It is nice to see all of Josh's family here where I live...I am used to traveling a long ways to see them. And I finally got to meet my cousin Laura's baby Londyn...she is so cute! Sweetest baby ever!
I had a lovely bridal luncheon at a local tea room yesterday:) It was very nice and I really enjoyed it!
So I will sign off now and next time I blog I will officially be Mrs. Emily Rushton:D

Thanksgiving is next week!! Wow, the year has really flown by! This will be Josh's 1st Thanksgiving away from the college in 4 yrs. So I asked what he looked forward to in the meal....and his number one was pumpkin pie! Uhoh...... I don't recall seeing that dessert at any family holiday or function lol. So I have set myself to the task of making a pumpkin pie for Josh this year (my 1st attempt). I did some research online and found a great recipe website-
www.allrecipes.com
It allows me to set a profile and save recipes I am interested in so that I can always come back to them. Also, very cool budget and quick fix recipes.
So hopefully this pie will turn out great but overall I am looking forward to Thanksgiving!

Well.....it's official...I am OLD! haha jk :) No, yesterday I turned 21! I can legally do everything that I have no desire for...smoking and alcohol lol. Most people think I am about 14 yrs old though! Ahhhh! I know I will appreciate my baby face eventually.
19 days until Josh and I are hitched! Woohoo! lol Things are going pretty well right now, Josh has a night job which he likes because it will allow him to keep up with his handyman business during the day. There is also a possibility that we may be flying out to Arizona and driving a truck back to Alabama at the end of December. Josh needs a truck for his business and I think road trips are fun!
But we will see how things work out :)
Hope everyone has a lovely week!

Well it is after midnight now...so that means 26 days till the wedding! :D We got alot of details worked out now and are working on final lists. Although I think I will spend an eternity doing thank you notes lol.
Josh's business seems to be going well! He owns Brooke Construction Services which keeps him busy giving people estimates on handy man and odd jobs most people don't have time for or know how to do. If you want more info leave me a message!
I had my bridal portraits last Friday...they were so much fun!! I had my hair and makeup done and then the pics were taken by William Bunce of Creopix. I had them at the Bragg Mitchell Mansion- www.braggmitchellmansion.com . This is where the wedding reception is going to take place. After all of the traditional pics, the photographer asked me to put on my ballet pointe shoes and have fun doing some artistic shots leaping through the air in my wedding dress and ballet shoes LOL. There are some great shots and I had a great time. I will post some of the pics after the wedding...just incase Josh looks at my blog...he can't see the dress yet:o
